Grass and Broadleaf Weed Control

Winter canola is an excellent broadleaf rotational crop to clean up problematic or herbicide tolerant grass weed species common in winter wheat and other crop rotations.

Registered Group-1 herbicides, such as Select, Assure II and Poast, can be used to effectively control grass weeds in conventional non-GMO winter canola.

Registered herbicides to control broadleaf weeds in non-GMO include Group-3, Group-4 and Group-13 and Group-2 in Clearfield (CL) hybrids only

Always consult pesticide labels.

Ongoing herbicide research privately funded by Caldbeck Consulting has identified additional grass and broadleaf control options, availability subject to registration, to enhance current control strategies and help offset the continued development of weed resistance across multiple herbicide groups.
